The challenge

Immersive Data Solutions ran field operations for major retailers on a monolithic, aging application. Contractor work orders relied on paperwork, and collecting field imagery from thousands of properties was a manual process that could not scale.

What we did

Tarmac replaced the legacy system with one built on Ruby on Rails, React, and React Native, running on AWS, that pairs field image capture with a data visualization platform contractors and staff can actually use.

The results

The new system now houses more than a million images across 12,000-plus property locations, and the partnership has held for seven years running.
