Passare: 300% customer growth in nine months

The challenge

Passare set out to modernize how funeral homes and families collaborate through one of life’s hardest moments. That meant a platform that families and directors could trust, available on the web and in their pockets. To reach more customers, Passare needed to ship reliable software across web, iOS, and Android faster than a small in-house team could manage alone.

What we did

Tarmac provided a senior team that worked as an extension of Passare. We built and extended the product on a Ruby on Rails backend with native iOS and Android apps and a web experience, so families and funeral professionals could collaborate wherever they were. We worked in tight coordination with Passare’s team, shipping continuously and holding quality steady through the Tarmac 10 as the product surface grew.

The results

In its first nine months on the platform work, Passare grew its customer base by 300%. The multi-platform product gave Passare the reach and reliability to serve more funeral homes and the families they care for, and the partnership gave the company senior engineering capacity that scaled with its growth.
