The challenge
Pillar set out to rethink how people hold and use digital assets through a smart wallet. Building in blockchain and FinTech means engineering for security and reliability from the start, and standing up the web services that keep a wallet running smoothly. Pillar needed a senior team that could both build the product and keep it healthy over the long term.
What we did
Tarmac built and maintained Pillar’s smart wallet along with the web services behind it. We ran the platform on AWS using Lambda and ECS, with CI/CD pipelines so changes shipped safely and often. Beyond the initial build, we took ongoing responsibility for keeping the system reliable, applying the Tarmac 10 to hold quality steady as the product evolved.
The results
Pillar got a smart wallet and a supporting services layer that were not just built but maintained, backed by a cloud architecture designed for reliability. The long-term partnership gave Pillar dependable senior engineering capacity around a demanding blockchain product.
